Spielberg the Family Man

Part of keeping the child alive inside himself, for Spielberg means having children around. If you have ever heard Spielberg being interviewed, you know that he can't say 3 things without slipping his children into the conversation. Here is a quick rundown of the Spielberg family:

Father: Arnold Spielberg was an Electrical engineer. He was involved in the early development of computers. Arnold apparently lost relatives in the during the holocaust.

Mother: Leah Adler was a former concert pianist. She had four children with Arnold (Steven the oldest). Arnold and Leah divorced, and she remarried to second to Bernie Adler. The Adlers own a kosher dairy restaurant called The Milky Way on Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles.

1. Anne Spielberg was a screenwriter and producer for the Tom Hanks film Big. She was nominated for an Oscar for her work.

3. Nancy Katz lives in Riverdale, New York. She was born on June 7, 1956.

Wife: Kate Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas (Nov 3, 1953), went to school in St Louis Missouri before making her way to New York where she started her acting career. Her first role was on the soap "Edge of Night". She married Robert Capshaw and had one daughter before her film career took off. Spielberg and Capshaw met in auditions for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Capshaw was cast the leading role. She would marry the director 7 years later in 1991.

ExWife: Amy Irving Spielberg and Irving were married from 1979 till 1989. They had one son (Max).
