Back to the Future
Spielberg's Role: Executive Producer
US Release Date: 1985
In 1985, Steven
Spielberg brought us one of the most well panned comedies
of the 1980's. Back to the Future was one of Michael J
Fox's first movie roles, and Christopher Lloyd's big
break.
The trilogy is amazingly well
planned and seems to seamlessly flow from the original to
the sequels. The Epic type story has caused a cult
following, involving a cartoon series, a ride at
Universal Studios and a demand for a fourth movie.
In the first movie, Marty McFly
goes back in time, and must find his way back to 1985.
While in the year 1955, he bumps into his parents and
keeps them from meeting. He has to fix all these problems
while looking for a source of 1.21 Jiga-watts (that's
allot of electricity).
References to styles, the
storyline and original songs by Heuy Lewis make this the
movie of and about the 1980's.
